I had high hopes for March for Babies 2020. I'm a mom who had a very premature baby almost four years ago.
My son barely survived and was in the NICU for four months. Being co-chair for a cause I strongly believe in has been an honor. My vision for engagement and fundraising was definitely dashed when COVID-19 came into play and the event was canceled. I did not handle the news well. I had no idea how serious things would become and how life would change for everyone.
I had a good cry for a few days and took a step back. I didn't know how to pivot event plans and lost motivation. Like most of the world, I escaped by binge watching Tiger King on Netflix. Post binge, I headed to bed at 1 a.m. and decided to check in on Costco.com just for fun to see if I could get my hands on a Charmin 30 pack. To my surprise, my brand of choice was in-stock and I had a new, relevant idea with my favorite toilet paper brand that's nearly impossible to find.
That's how Charmin for Charity came to be.
My fundraising continues on in a virtual manner. I've split my 30 pack of Charmin and saved a six pack for a grand prize which we'll draw for Friday, April 10. If you want to give back and help a great cause, donate $20 or more to my
March for Babies page and you're in the running. So far, 16 rolls of Charmin are in-stock. Donate, and I'll drop it by your doorstep. Once I run out, you can still donate to win the Quarantine Clean COVID-19 care pack. Best of all, 100% of all proceeds benefits March of Dimes AZ to lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies. Unfortunately no one is exempt from COVID-19 and March of Dimes is in research mode.
This is how we roll.
To healthy moms and strong babies!
Team Tiny Tot
NICU to Now
Even though he was born at 26 weeks and weighed one pound eight ounces (690 grams), baby Dylan was born to make a difference . A micro preemie no more, Baby D is almost FOUR! Help Team Tiny Tot Warner hit our fundraising goal for March for Babies which is now a virtual event.
Dylan spent four months in the NICU and each day my husband and I would document our time with our precious babe as we tried to stay hopeful. I managed to edit our 127 day NICU journey into two minutes. Check it out here, and thank you for supporting Team Tiny Tot & March of Dimes.
